Sending out order confirmation emails can be tedious especially for business owners. No need to worry cause WooCommerce is equipped with automated emails. All you have to do is put in your business email, logo and style it by changing the look with your brand colors.
At the WordPress Dashboard, go to WooCommerce > Settings. Then select the Emails tab.
There are different kinds of email notifications that are dependent on the status of the orders. To know more about Order Statuses check out this post – Managing your Shop: Checking for Orders.
Here are emails that your customers will receive:
- Order on hold – Awaiting payment
- Processing order – Payment received (paid)
- Completed order – Order fulfilled and complete – requires no further action.
If you would like to change the copy/message in the emails you can do so by clicking on the Manage button.
Email Sender Options
Change the “from” name and email address to your Company name and company email. This is what your customers will see when they receive emails from your website/shop.
This step is very important because this will send email notifications to your customers. So, that they can recognize your email and they will not think that it's spam mail.
Email Template
In this section, we’ll edit how your automated emails will look like.
- Header Image – you can add your logo here
- Footer Text – you can add your address and telephone number
- Base color – background color for your header
- Background color – this will change the background color for the whole document
- Body background-color – this will change the background color for the email message
- Body text color – this is for the color of the text on the email
Now that you have gone through how to customize your automated emails just don’t forget to click Save changes. You can always go back and change it again.
