Is your website loading slow? It might be your photos. Reducing your image’s file size can help improve your website’s performance. You can use any photo editing software out there to optimize your images. In this tutorial, we will teach you how to optimize photos using Photoshop.
Open Photoshop. Select the image you need to optimize.
Crop your image. Click on the Crop tool from the tools bar. Draw on your image to your desired size or you can specify the size using the Control bar at the top. Then press Enter (Windows) or Return (Mac OS) to crop the photo.
Then once you are ready to export your photo. Click on File then Export > Save for Web (Legacy)
On the export window select the Preset: JPEG High. Below the preview image, you can see the file size of your image.
When you have selected these settings, just click Save then choose where you want to save the optimized photo.
