‘At the top of my lungs’

We had an opportunity to work with Bates 141 to take picture of Indonesian icons for a cigarette ad. They are David Naif, Veroland (Kickass Choppers), Lola Amaria, 347 Dendy, DJ Riri , Anton Ismael (fellow photographer), Hanung Bramantyo, Damien, and J-Rocks. They each contributed two packaging designs for cigarette company as an unique reflection of their personalities. The designs were voted by viewers through the website and the chosen design used as a special edition cigarettes pack.
These shots were done for the website and print ad in the newspaper. Our job was to capture their silence and screaming expressions.
The shoot took 3 days in a row because of the icons’ tight schedules. Nevertheless, we all had fun and got the job done. Thanks to everyone for screaming their heartout!!!

Here’s the behind the scene video of how Rooster works to achieve the shot. This is done for portfolio purposes. The idea is to make a Piaggio MP3, a rather large motorcycle, looks like jumping, moving and flying. Our first idea is to hang the bike on a sling rope, but because of weight constrain and for the safety of our model, we choose to just put the bike on a stand and took a low angle picture of it. You can see the final result in the portfolio section.
